How to Install Kitchen Exhaust Fan

When we are cooking, we certainly need a kitchen exhaust fan. This tool has a function as an air filter. If we do not have one for our kitchen, the smoke from the cooking will be spread throughout the house and become bad air. This is certainly not healthy for us and our family. Besides that, it is also capable of absorbing heat. Hence, while cooking, we do not need to deal with how hot the kitchen will be any longer. interesting, right? We have mentioned some of them in this article along with tips on how to install it.
Types of Range Hoods
We provide three kinds of kitchen exhaust fan which might be suitable for your cooking area. Each of them has same yet a bit different function. The first one is wall-mounted range hood. This fan is usually known to be attached on the wall and above the stove. Its air line is connected to the outside of the house. The second one has the exactly same usage, which is island exhaust fan. What makes it different from the first style is the location. If the first kind is installed on the wall, this one is placed above the kitchen island. However, you may choose this one if your stove is on the island. The last type is undercabinet range hood. Just like its name, it is placed directly under our kitchen cabinet. It has a system of air filter as well. Yet, it does not own a pipe which connect the system to the outside area like the other two does. So, how it works is by filtering the smoke or heat from the cooking and spread it back again toward our kitchen. Due to this lack, we do not suggest to have this type for you.

How to Install Kitchen Exhaust Fan
We want to inform that this installation is only available for wall-mounted and island range hoods. First, make a plan where you will place the hole of your fan on the ceiling joist. Second, draw a circle on the area for your vent pipe. You can use the edge of the pipe as your guide. After that, you may cut the circle and insert the pipe. Third, go to the attic and attach a duct elbow so you can connect the ven pipe with the exhaust hole later. Fourth, now you can set the vent fan on the ceiling hole along with brackets. Do not forget to attach a cable connecter as well. Fifth, back to the attic, make another hole, but this time is for the exhaust. Sixth, now connect the vent fan with a connector duct toward the exhaust hole. Last, connect important wiring to the fan and the set a fan grill. After everything is done, you may try the kitchen exhaust fan.
